We are seeking a highly motivated individual that is either currently a cloud infrastructure engineer or DevOps professional looking for a career shift to become customer facing. Why this profile? We love your practitioner level cloud knowledge and have seen first hand how effective this is in helping organisations solve their cloud & cloud security challenges. To this point, cloud security is a nice bonus if you have it. In addition to this, we are keen to hear from those with a more traditional background in sales engineering (cloud security only), but this must be accompanied with a strong knowledge around the practical application of tooling & solutions within a customers environment that they can lean on you for.

The individual will be joining the APJ Commercial team based in Sydney to help drive the business forward with a consultative approach to the pre-sales process, always being seen by the customer as a trusted advisor, with strong technical acumen.

Someone successful in this role will have a passion for a career in a high growth & fast scaling B2B SaaS organisation. The successful candidate will report into the Head of Sales & be able to work in collaboration with Account Executives to drive deal cycles that help secure and grow Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR). What you'll do

  • Providing product support to prospects, customers, and partners
  • Mapping technical and business value to align with key business goals
  • Able to deliver proof of concept that can be used to establish viability, address technical issues, demonstrate alignment with discovered client needs, and advance the sales process
  • Support in-region marketing campaigns and partner events as the field technical expert
  • Develop long-term, trusting relationships with customers & partners
  • Deliver customer-centric value based presentations and solution demonstrations
  • Support technical content production focused on the Plerion platform
  • Anticipate and address technical objections in the sales cycle and
  • Contribute directly to attaining or exceeding quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management.

What we’re looking for

Required

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of cloud services, concepts & in particular AWS (Azure and GCP are nice to haves)
  • Demonstrated ability to solve for improved business processes and work through complex technical problems
  • Capable of interacting with, building relationships with & influencing C-level decision makers and technical users on AWS
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, needs analysis, framing, business justification, project execution, and learning on the fly
  • Exposure to security software solutions, tools & in particular, Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP)
  • Willingness to work with minimal direction as part of a team to solve technical and business challenges and
  • Exposure to security software solutions
  • 3 days in the office (Tuesday to Thursday) for Sydney based employees

Preferred

  • Previous experience in Cloud Security or cloud infrastructure environment
  • Ability to communicate with various styles of recipients
  • Flexibility to be able to work in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
  • Adaptability to work with multiple internal tools
  • Self-motivated
  • Coachability - The ability to receive feedback and utilise it in a positive effective manner
  • Sydney based
